Flower Forest Botanical Gardens
Barbados’s 53-Acre Tropical Garden Escape

Explore at your own pace:
With a self-guided tour, you can discover the beauty of Flower Forest at your own speed. The main path stretches 0.86 km (0.53 miles), with numerous side paths to explore. A quick stroll can take as little as 30 minutes, but to truly enjoy the gardens, plan for a few hours.
Entrance Fees:
- Adults: BBD $40
- Children (3–12 years): BBD $20
- Children under 3: free
Accessibility:
Most garden pathways are flat, but some areas have an elevation change of about 15 metres, so a companion is recommended for assistance — one strong helper is usually enough, two is ideal. The main building, including bathrooms, is fully handicap accessible, and there is on-site parking for easy access.

Follow the main path through Colin’s Corner, where magnificent trees and colourful blooms line the way. At Liv’s Lookout, enjoy sweeping views to the east, breathe in the sea air, and take in the unspoilt landscapes of Barbados.

Branch off the main path along Dennis Drive to one of two trails leading to Mary’s Meadow. From the gazebo here, spot Mount Hillaby, the island’s highest point, and admire the lush greenery and vibrant blooms surrounding you.

At the junction of the main path and Will’s Walk lies Richard’s Rise, named after the Kew-trained designer Richard Coghlan. Beside the Window of Hope sculpture, rest, picnic, and take in views across Bloomsbury and its thousands of Caribbean Roystonia palms. The sculpture, inspired during the 2020 lockdown, invites reflection and a sense of optimism, while birds, monkeys, and other wildlife continue their lively presence around you.
