Hunte’s Gardens is a secluded tropical sanctuary created within a natural limestone sinkhole, where layered planting and careful design transform a compact space into something unexpectedly expansive. A winding, easy-to-follow path leads visitors through a series of intimate garden rooms, each unfolding with its own palette of colour, texture, and shade.
Rare and exotic plants sit alongside familiar tropical species, arranged in a way that feels both curated and overgrown—structured yet deeply alive. As you move through the gardens, the landscape shifts constantly: dense greenery opens into quiet clearings, dramatic palms give way to delicate flowering understories, and every turn offers a new perspective.
Hidden benches appear throughout the garden, offering quiet places to pause and take in the surrounding stillness. The experience is self-guided, allowing you to move at your own pace, whether that means lingering in a shaded corner or following the path deeper into the greenery.
Light refreshments are available at the top house, where guests can enjoy rum punch, tea, coffee, and cakes in a relaxed setting overlooking the gardens below.
