Wild Green Monkeys & Historic Grenade Hall Trails

Set within a natural mahogany forest, the Barbados Wildlife Reserve is the best place on the island to see Green Monkeys up close. A resident troop calls the reserve home, and while the monkeys remain wild, they are accustomed to humans, creating excellent opportunities for photography. The reserve is also home to Cayman (a small alligator-like reptile), tortoises, deer, and a variety of birds, all moving freely among the trees for a memorable wildlife encounter.
Visit during feeding times at 10:30 am or 3 pm for the best chance to see monkeys in action — though they can be spotted throughout the day too.
