Colleton Great House
Luxurious & Historical Accommodation

Colleton Great House is a historic plantation estate on Barbados’ west coast, set within seven acres of tropical gardens and mahogany trees with views across the Caribbean Sea. With foundations dating to 1652, the estate is among the oldest surviving Great House properties on the island.
The property centres on a grand two-storey plantation house built by Sir John Colleton, an English planter associated with the early development of Barbados and the American Carolinas during the reign of Charles II of England.
Today the estate operates as an exclusive historic guest house. Accommodation includes the five-bedroom Great House, two stable apartments, and the independent Cliff-Top Cottage, offering nine bedrooms across the property. Reservations can be made for individual rooms, an entire building, or the full estate.
Guests can enjoy elegant interiors filled with antiques and artwork, landscaped tropical gardens, a swimming pool, and peaceful grounds that provide privacy while remaining close to the beaches, restaurants, and attractions of Barbados’ west coast.
